Summer update

I never want summer to be over! I love just being home with the kids. Even though we add more therapy during the summer months, Sadie doesn't seem as tired and there's more time to pack in some fun. There's even some time to do normal things like go to the gym and watch bachelorette or watch the bachelorette while at the gym (which makes for a very unproductive workout btw). Sadie has had so many great days. She's walking more consistantly. I think it's been three weeks since she's had a day were she merely crawls around. Our ups and downs seem to range on the higher functioning side and I can't even express how thankful I am for that. I'm just not ready for school to start. School shopping is fun. Preparing for IEP meetings is not.

  1. I was just thinking this morning how much calmer Lily seemed to be when we were off for the month of June. I wonder sometimes if all of us just hanging out together, doing fun stuff as a whole family, and feeling no pressure to be anywhere at any certain time is the way things should be all the time when you're raising a special needs kiddo. Wouldn't it be nice if real life could really be that way all the time?? :)

  2. Love the development that happens over summer! I love the pic with Sadie in the sprinkler! I miss summer and being able to use a sprinkler for that matter! Good luck back at school and that dreaded meeting! Bron
